Ashli is proud to call Greenfield home.
Born and raised in Greenfield, Ashli attended Newton Elementary and Greenfield High School, and is a member of the GHS class of 2005. After high school, Ashli attended Northeastern University in Boston and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Arts degree in journalism and minor in communications studies. In 2012 she returned home from Boston to build her career in the Pioneer Valley and to get involved in helping Greenfield realize its full potential.
In the years since her return, Ashli has made a positive impact in the region. In 2013 she worked to start a national IT company and as a result, created nearly 10 full-time jobs for the Valley. She donates her marketing expertise to local organizations like the Greenfield Public Schools and other town departments. Ashli is currently an Associate Director of HR Communications at Year Up, a national nonprofit that works to ensure that young adults gain the skills, experiences, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through careers and higher education.
Ashli is the President of the Greenfield City Council. She was first elected to the Greenfield City Council in 2015 as a Precinct 8 Councilor, and was elected as a Councilor At-large in 2017. Ashli chaired the Ways & Means committee in 2017 and 2018 and the Economic Development Committee 2019. She has also served on the Capital Improvement, TIF, and Sustainable Greenfield Implementation Committees.
She brings to the table not only her education, but a diverse set of experience from living and working both inside and outside of the Valley, working across various industries, including media, technology, finance, and higher education. She is also a 2012 graduate of the New Leaders Council Institute, a national organization that works to train and support the progressive political entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
Ashli is proud to live in the breathtaking Pioneer Valley and loves calling Greenfield home. She feels a great sense of honor and responsibility to lead and represent Greenfield, giving back to the community that gave her so much.
